Accounting Specialist - Seattle, WA (Corporate Office)



Leisure Care’s Corporate Office, located in downtown Seattle, is looking for an entry level Accounting Specialist who shares our vision of Five Star Fun to join the Accounting Team. The ideal candidate will enjoy being part of a fun, fast-paced, and team-oriented group.


As an Accounting Specialist, you will have the opportunity to assist multiple areas of the accounting team in preparing timely and accurate financial reporting for our retirement communities. This position will also be responsible for performing certain treasury/banking functions and supporting other accounting team members.


Other responsibilities include:


- Preparing weekly and monthly census reports

- Exporting & packaging reports to support production of monthly financial statements

- Reconciling bank accounts

- Assisting with interim and year-end audits
- Assisting with preparing community sales/use tax, personal property tax, and   unclaimed property tax returns.

At least one year of previous related experience preparing and analyzing financial statements preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate! Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent education/experience is required. Exposure to the property management industry and MRI software is a plus.


This position requires strong analytical skills, a commitment to customer service, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work as a team player within the accounting team.
