Chef - Woodbridge, CT


The Linden at Woodbridge is managed by Leisure Care whose philosophy of Five-Star Fun for our residents and employees has made it one of the most desirable companies to work for.  We are looking for a Chef with experience in the hotel/restaurant industry as well as experience in management. We don’t just want someone that can cook, but also has a vision for five-star fun and a desire to create interesting, flavorful and seasonal menus!  We are redefining the retirement industry!


This position will act as a departmental manager and report directly to the General Manager.  You will play a vital role in the community by leading staff members to provide consistent, professional service, and exceptional dining choices for all of our residents. Your dynamic leadership combined with superior communication skills, a high degree of professionalism, creativity, and team leadership will be instrumental. If you enjoy working with fresh, not frozen, ingredients, local farmers and suppliers, and the autonomy to make the menu reflect your culinary vision then, Leisure Care is the place for you!


Three years of prior progressive management experience and in the hotel, retirement, or hospitality industry is preferred, as is a culinary degree.  Must have a minimum of five years’ kitchen experience. Experience working with a POS system as a back- and front-of-house management/service tool a plus. SerSafe certification required. Shifts may vary and include some nights and/or weekends.
