The weekend Bistro Server acts as bartender and server for the Bistro, lobby, and lounge areas. The Bistro Server follows established policies, procedures and core service standards, and assists with food preparation as directed or needed. The Bistro Server organizes, orders, stocks and serves food and beverage in the Bistro and adjoining areas such as the lobby or lounge.
Schedule: Saturday and Sunday 8:30am to 5:00pm.
Essential Job Functions:
- Sets up Bistro area, including display unit with beverage and food items, according to menu.
- Ensures the quality and freshness of all food/beverage items
- Responsible for all aspects of dining service, including tray/table presentation, preparation and serving of food/beverages, and clearing of service area.
- Serves alcoholic beverages as required.
- Adheres to all policies and standards for safety, cleanliness and sanitation per health standards.
- Uses POS system and handles cash and credit card transactions.
- Establishes and maintains a pleasant atmosphere by creating an environment that promotes the enjoyment and comfort of each resident.
Successful candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate. Must meet state specific age requirements to serve alcoholic beverages. Three years' experience as a Barista or two years' experience as a bartender preferred.
