Restaurant Host Hostess
Essential Job Functions
The Restaurant Host/Hostess is responsible for greeting, maintaining reservation list and seeing that residents and guests are seated in the restaurant in a friendly and efficient manner. This position requires a hospitality professionalism and a knowledge of basic food offering and menu content. They must provide high service standards that ensure residents, guest and family members' satisfaction, including room service and special events.
- Clearly communicates and understands residents’ preferences.
- Waits on residents and provides them with exceptional service.
- Performs minor food preparation duties as assigned.
- Recognizes and greets all residents by name.
- Assists restaurant staff, as necessary, with beverage service and clearing of plates, glasses and silverware as residents/guests are finished.
